Distance Learning Center

On Tuesday, April 14th, we will resume distance learning using Google Classroom. Teachers will contact students and families to provide details for distance learning.  Teachers have worked to create a schedule that is consistent and reliable; staff has designed a similar schedule and parallel minutes to Math, English, Science, and History instruction.  Each week teachers will provide distance learning assignments and make themselves available for student support. Students with no access to Google Classroom will need to complete Individual Learning Assignments. Select your grade level below.

Be sure to check ALL Google Classrooms for daily for extra support, conversations, and other support activities.

  • All Math Powerpoints (PPT) are posted in Google Classroom.
  • Electives such as STEM, Band, AVID, Debate, and Art WILL ALSO have activites, conversations, and supports for students. Remember, check these daily.
  • Finally, be ready to submit all work electronically or by drop off on the last day of school.
  • Teachers may have set up specific office hours for students and parents to get help. Please check on the grade level Distance Learning Center pages for details on office hours for your teachers.

Some teachers may be using video conferencing to present or review material. The following are guidelines that must be followed during a video conference.

  • This is a virtual classroom, therefore, appropriate classroom behavior and dress is expected.
  • Log into your class from a distraction-free, quiet environment.
  • Please keep your audio on mute until you want to speak. This limits background noise.
  • Consider using a headset with an external mic for best hearing and speaking capabilities.
  • Close unneeded applications on your computer to optimize the video quality.
  • If you would like to speak or answer a question, use the "Raise Hand" feature. Then unmute yourself after you are called on by your teacher.
  • When you are speaking, let others know that you are finished by saying something like, “That’s all,” or “I’m done,” or “Thank you,” so that everyone knows you have finished your comments.
  • Please take care of your personal needs (appropriate dress, basic hygiene, eating, chewing gum, talking to others in your home, etc.) prior to entering a Zoom classroom.
  • Do not use profanity or inappropriate language.
  • Violation of appropriate behavior and usage may result in suspension of your student account.
